Loving Day Recalls a Time When the Union of a Man And a Woman Was Banned At least the headline writer gets it.

I'll always remember how dumbfounded I was, reading the Loving case in first-year Constitutional Law. I called my mom. "Oh yeah," she said matter-of-factly, "the church we wanted to get married in was in Virginia, but it was illegal there." Kudos to them for instilling us kids with their quiet support of the civil rights movement, while at the same time recognizing that it wasn't really about them.
