Income figures say Ohioans aren't: "poverty marks a new high in Ohio over the past four decades...[statewide] median income was $30,499 in 2004, $40 less than it was in 1993. Income rose during the first seven years of that span, but since 2000, it's dropped every year....[I]ncome fell in all but 25 of Ohio's 612 school districts between 2000 and 2004."
