Local News - The Advocate - www.newarkadvocate.com: "Military recruiters can still talk to students at school, even if their parents filled out the opt-out form. According to Cameron Carr, recruiters are at his school, Licking Valley High School, every day.

Opting-out, as an increasing number of parents at Licking Valley have, creates a problem when students apply for colleges, said Dave Hile, principal at Licking Valley High School....'If (parents) tell us that we can't have that information for recruiters, then we cannot give out that information to colleges.' The reverse is true as well, also according to the No Child Left Behind Act. 'If one of our kids asks us to send their transcript to a university, as soon as we do that, recruiters must be treated in the same manner and we must give them access to that information,' Hile said."
